Believe It.
Some days are just ordinary days.
But some days you are outside with your husband, your face up to the sky feeling snowflakes hit your skin, drinking hot apple cider that doesn't stay hot for long. It was one of those nights where you are freezing to the bone but can't stop laughing. Running around the yard throwing snowballs like kids who can't be dragged back inside.
Stuff like this just doesn't happen in Houston so we took full advantage of the Christmas snow last night!

Payback.
Jason gets me back for all the times I've snapped a picture when he wasn't expecting it.

Up On The Housetop.
Yesterday was our first attempt at putting up outside Christmas lights. After a few hours, a few trips to Walmart and a few prayers that Jason wouldn't fall off the roof, I'll have to say we did a pretty good job. Hopefully tonight I can get an actual picture of them on and you know, in the dark and everything.

Hike.
On our final day at Mom's I took Jason down to see the Lake behind their neighborhood and go hiking in the woods.
Taking a picture before we leave in case we get lost and need a recent photo for the search party, or what I like to call "Awkward Smile Photo:"
Lake Sharon:
Nothing like sitting in a wet pike of leaves to make you feel 12 again!

Hunt.
Friday was our 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Hunt at Wintergreen Farm in Van Alstyne. I wish we had fall colors like this around here!
Hay ride to the field of a gazillion trees.

Give Thanks.
Thanksgiving at Mom's went well. Lucky for us, my little brother Phillip and sis-in-law Sandra were able to make it and provide us with endless entertainment. It has been many years since we have been together on Thanksgiving so we had to make up for lost time by trying to make Phillip eat weird things, do weird things and say weird things. Oh, the memories.

Obviously, Phillip couldn't even let go of the Wii remote long enough to take a picture.
This could be why I am so sore I could barely get out of bed this morning:

Wii is even Gigi-friendly!
They save a bundle on marriage counseling.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving!!
XOXO, Mack & Jason
