Addison In 3D!

We had our 3D/4D ultrasound yesterday and thanks to the bag of Skittles I ate before the appointment, Addison was very cooperative and we got so many good pictures! I can't wait to tickle those tiny toes and kiss those cheeks.

It is hard to believe that in less than 12 weeks, we will get to meet our sweet daughter. We cannot wait! :)

Teeny Tiny Bathing Beauty.

Received the sweetest care package in the mail this past week for Addison (Thanks Aunt Kim, Uncle Mark and cousin Gavin!) and inside was probably one of the most adorable things I have ever seen so I had to share! A teeny tiny ladybug swimsuit, the perfect size for Addie since she will be a summer newborn! Cannot wait to see her in it!

Love Love Love Day.

I cannot believe that yesterday was our 4th Valentine's Day to spend together. We spent it in the best way, just like we have the three others - together, holding hands, enjoying the day and cooking a delicious special meal together. This year our toast was with sparkling grape juice instead of champagne but the sentiment was the same.

I am the luckiest girl to be able to wake up next to you every morning for the rest of our lives! Next year I am tickled that I will have to share my valentine as I'm sure Addison's daddy will be her valentine as well. :)

Sometimes love is expressed through everyday things, like meals cooked, errands run and trash taken out. But there is nothing ordinary about our love.
It is the best part of my life. :)

Life As It Happens.

Been enjoying life happening all around us. Sometimes you just have to step away from the computer and get out there and just breathe everything in!

This past week:

I hope everyone is doing well today, hanging out with the ones they love and living. :)

XOXO

24 Weeks!

My belly feels like it is growing rapidly and the pregnant hungry all the time thing has FINALLY kicked in. I had lunch at Smashburger today and not only wolfed down my burger but ate most of Kati's fries as well.... I don't even like fries! I'm also finally big enough that strangers notice and I am getting all kinds of favors like cuts in line and extra fudge on my sundae. SCORE!

Overall, I am feeling great. I am getting plenty of rest and relaxation and I feel it is having an incredible effect on me and the baby. My main struggle right now is learning how to do some maneuvering! It is harder to climb in and out of bed (I need a stool!), tying my shoes is becoming a little more difficult and my yoga pants and Jason's comfy t-shirts have become my new best friend! My tiny belly button is still hanging on and I wonder if it will ever pop out!

I wake up every morning so grateful and cannot believe this is happening to us. This tiny human growing inside of me is ours.

Nick Nolte's Homemade Chocolate Pudding.

Allergies have kept me pretty much chained to the house the past two days. Why? No one wants to run into someone looking like this in public:

Oh yes, it is really that bad. Actually, take that photo, shove tiny bits of Kleenex up his nostrils and THAT is closer to the look I am sporting right now.

The one thing that did get me off the couch was a severe craving for chocolate pudding. I am usually a J-E-L-L-O instant pudding kind of gal but there was none in site to I turned toward the interwebs to find a recipe. So without further ado, in honor of my twin up there I give you:

Nick Nolte's Homemade Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients:

1/2 cup white sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 3/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

In a saucepan, stir together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Stir in milk and place over medium heat. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring contanstly until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of the spoo. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla. Let cool briefly and serve warm or chill in refrigerator until serving.

Voila!

Makes 4 servings....

.....unless you are pregnant, then it serves 2....

OK, make that 1 serving.

Oops. :)

I Will Never Make Fun Of Yoga Again.

Jas and I were perusing Best Buy a few weeks ago and came across this in the $9.99 bin. So I figured meh? Why not?

I thought it'd be great to add to my new routine staying at home to keep me nice and relaxed and well, I mean, come on, that chick on the cover looks pretty dang peaceful if you ask me. Plus my favorite piece of clothing as my belly expands are yoga pants so I'm already halfway there, right?
.
WRONG.
.
The breathing? The breathing part was nice. The holding my tummy and really connecting with baby, that was lovely.
.
The mid angle sideways position transitioning to the warrior 2 position and holding for 10 seconds? That was a little more complicated.
.
I powered through and finished and I have to admit, it did feel nice. Though I may not be able to feel my legs tomorrow. :)

The Kind Of Mother I Am.

Took Ross and Zoe to the vet this morning to get fun things done like fecal samples and butt gland extractions. Party!

I was so proud of how well behaved they were and the vet gave them a perfect bill of health, score!

So of course that meant I had to give them the hashbrowns out of my #12 McD's breakfast as a reward.

New Kind Of First Day.

One of the best feelings in the world? Enjoying your Sunday afternoon and realizing you don't have to go to work the next day... or the next day... or the next day!

That's right folks, I ended my 9year run in the corporate world last Friday. I feel so lucky and blessed that I can now stay at home, enjoy the rest of my pregnancy and get ready for my biggest job of all, stay at home Mommy!

How have I spent my time so far? Visited Mana, Ginny, Haley and the nephew and niece, rocked out with Kaci on Rock Band (who knew I didn't need tequila to sing Kenny Roger's The Gambler?), got my hairs did (see pic below), had lunch with Kati and my favorite red head Brady and visited my good friend Juls and her two precious little ladies.
Life is full and good.

Back to brown!

Oh and what was my lovely husband doing all this time?

Why, killing things of course! :)
XOXO,
Mack & Jason

21 Week Photoshoot.

First up, ultrasound goodness!

Feeling Addison kick while watching it onscreen was one of the coolest things ever! She started out in a ball and very uncooperative but toward the end was showing us her smooth moves and even playing with her umbilical cord!

Then there was a moment where she raised her hand up to her mouth to suck her thumb and we absolutely melted. There really is a baby in there! Our sweet girl. :) With what looks like Mommy's nose and Daddy's big feet!

The tech was able to get some really good profile shots, in the first one you can see her raising her hand up to her mouth to get that thumb!

Doc said ultra sound looks great and that Addie and me are right on schedule! We have an appt a month from now and then we will start going every two weeks after that which means we will be getting close!
In about 19 more weeks we will be holding that sweet baby in our arms. :)

Fergie Says Meet Me Halfway.

I am 20 weeks today!

I cannot believe we are halfway there! I am on the superfast track to rotundness and I am loving my new baby belly. Sweet girl is now waking me up in the middle of the night, her kicks are so strong. If she is half as active outside the womb as she is inside, we are in trouble!

I know it seems all my blog entries lately are all pregnancy related but I can't apologize! I've waited my whole life for this experience and I want to talk about every single bit of it. I want to remember. :)

XOXO
