I Heart Mud Bugs.

This weekend's family reunion/crawfish boil was an absolute blast but I sure am pooped! Eating copious amounts of crawfish, relaxing by a bonfire and laughing with family is so exhausting, you know. :)

As you can see, fun was had by all! Poppie (Jason's stepdad and Master crawfish boiler) was sure I was about to pop at any moment and joked he had and extra pot of water boiling "just in case."
.
Haha, because THAT wouldn't be scary or anything!
.
We have our final ultrasound in the morning and hopefully they can give us an idea of how big baby girl is and if she is good and ready to come out and meet us!
.
Cannot wait. :)

Broken Record.

I feel like a broken record these days, starting each entry with "life has been so busy." But it HAS. This past weekend was spent visiting Jason's family. We got to spend time with his grandma which was so nice and then had burgers with Aunt Patty, Uncle Ricky, Ryan and Amanda, Katie and Leslie. We then headed out to some really gorgeous areas around their home so I could take Katie's Senior pictures and some of Leslie as well as some of them together. It was a very fun, photography is so much easier when you have beautiful models, though! ;)

I want to post a few pics but then have to run... Jason's family reunion/crawfish boil starts tomorrow and I need to get laundry done, bags packed and make a strawberry cheesecake trifle to bring for dessert. :) Oh and rest in there at some point!

Hope everyone is well!

Babymoon! Down By The Sea.... errr the Gulf!

*Looks up at pregnancy ticker* 33 weeks! In a little over a month our lives are going to be turned upside down and changed forever (in a very good way!). We decided to take a long weekend trip to Galveston to have a nice relaxing, romantic weekend before all the craziness.

Jason found an adorable condo to rent right on the water and we spent the weekend fishing, walking on the beach, laying by the pool and stuffing ourselves with seafood. It was a perfect weekend, wish our toes were still in the sand!

Maternity Pic Teasers.*

*Oops, had the wrong snapfish link! Fixed now. :)

MiaBella has done it again! This amazing couple shot our engagement pics, bridal pics, wedding pics and now our maternity/belly pictures! Kelly and Marianne are ridiculously talented and after seeing our teasers, we cannot wait until Addison is here and they do her newborn pictures as well. :)

It was so hard to pick one for our header but the one I used is definitely one of my favorites! It's the picture that makes me tear up and realize, we are really having a baby!

I won't post them all here but you can check them out on snapfish! CLICK HERE

Baby Shower!

Our baby shower on Saturday was completely amazing! I was so overwhelmed by all the love and generosity and all of the incredible details my hostesses included! It was so nice to have so many people I care about in the same place! Addison Monroe is a lucky little lady already to have so many people who love and care about her already. :)

I'll let the pictures tell the rest!

XOXOX and a big thank you from Me, Jas & Addie!

Tiny Hiccups.

It has been a tough few weeks between Jason's dental stuff, my dental stuff, my pink eye and him throwing out his back.

Then we found out that Jason's sweet grandmother passed away on Monday so we will be heading out tomorrow to Naples, TX for her services on Saturday.

Jason's back is better, turns out it was his SI joint and he was able to receive a cortisone shot yesterday to help ease the pain and inflammation and he is feeling better already.

This week has been a blur trying to get his back taken care of so today we are frantically trying to get things together to leave town tomorrow.

But in all the hustle and fuss this week, we were laying on the couch last night with Jason's hand on my tummy and we both felt Addison get the hiccups for the very first time.

It was just the ray of sunshine that we needed to keep pushing through. :)

Roses & Bulging Discs.

Lovely weekend filled with seeing both our niece AND nephew, mexican food and visiting our favorite plant nursery in the country. Rose bushes and gardenias for the back beds and even a silver maple tree for the front yard. Spring is here!!

Unfortunately, while unloading said maple tree, Jason threw out his back and is quite a bit of pain so I am playing nurse this week.
Now neither one of us can bend over! :o)

Because Jason Finds This Completely Hilarious.

Oh my, how things have changed. Friday nights now consist of pizza, Netflix, in bed by 10pm and us laughing our butts off as I squeeze into my pre-pregnancy pajamas.

Busy-ness & Business.

Days fly by and as badly as I want to update, I am being terrible at it!

First things first, we start the 3rd trimester today, woooooweeeeeee! We are in the homestretch! My belly is getting bigger and I am getting clumsier (Is that even a word? It is now!) My glassware breaking tally for this pregnancy is up to 6. Things broken? One plate, one Christmas platter, two tea glasses, an 8x8 glass baking dish and yesterday, a vase. *sigh* It's like my brain doesn't connect to my fingertips to hold onto things! If I wasn't already so clumsy it wouldn't be a big deal but I am going through kitchenware at an alarming rate!

Let's see, other pregnancy things.... I have to say, I am still feeling great and little girl is moving around constantly now. We talk to her so much and I sit in the glider at random times and just rock and daydream about her. She loves the sound of her Daddy's voice and starts moving immediately when he gets by belly to talk to her, it's like she is trying so hard to tell him hello! Melts me. :)

Contributing to the busy-ness is my etsy shop is booming with business! Thus part of the reason I haven't been updating! I am so blessed to wake up every morning and wander into my studio in my pajamas and create beautiful things for lovely brides all over the country (and some across the pond!).

I can't get over how GOOD life is. I get to greet my husband every night when he comes home with a smile on my face because of the relaxing, rewarding day I have had. Every night after he sets down his jacket and laptop and kisses me and then my belly, I dream of the day when BOTH of his girls will be there to greet him when he gets home.

I know, MUSH! But I can't help it.

And to end on one last note of MUSH..... Mom came into town this past weekend and we made a trip to visit Gigi and show her the 3D ultrasound pics and video. Keep in mind, in the olden days when she had her children they didn't even have ultrasounds! In fact, they just got an X-ray at 38 weeks to make sure everything is ok, can you believe it? Of course now, they know that X-rays are a no-no for pregnant women but just shows how different things were back then! So we sat down and showed her the pics and she GASPED. She then immediately started crying with happiness. Jason happened to snap a pic right then catching her reaction and it is one of those pictures I will treasure forever because it captured the moment perfectly.

THIS is what it is all about. :)

XOXO,
Mack

Addison In 3D!

We had our 3D/4D ultrasound yesterday and thanks to the bag of Skittles I ate before the appointment, Addison was very cooperative and we got so many good pictures! I can't wait to tickle those tiny toes and kiss those cheeks.

It is hard to believe that in less than 12 weeks, we will get to meet our sweet daughter. We cannot wait! :)

Teeny Tiny Bathing Beauty.

Received the sweetest care package in the mail this past week for Addison (Thanks Aunt Kim, Uncle Mark and cousin Gavin!) and inside was probably one of the most adorable things I have ever seen so I had to share! A teeny tiny ladybug swimsuit, the perfect size for Addie since she will be a summer newborn! Cannot wait to see her in it!

Love Love Love Day.

I cannot believe that yesterday was our 4th Valentine's Day to spend together. We spent it in the best way, just like we have the three others - together, holding hands, enjoying the day and cooking a delicious special meal together. This year our toast was with sparkling grape juice instead of champagne but the sentiment was the same.

I am the luckiest girl to be able to wake up next to you every morning for the rest of our lives! Next year I am tickled that I will have to share my valentine as I'm sure Addison's daddy will be her valentine as well. :)

Sometimes love is expressed through everyday things, like meals cooked, errands run and trash taken out. But there is nothing ordinary about our love.
It is the best part of my life. :)

Life As It Happens.

Been enjoying life happening all around us. Sometimes you just have to step away from the computer and get out there and just breathe everything in!

This past week:

I hope everyone is doing well today, hanging out with the ones they love and living. :)

24 Weeks!

My belly feels like it is growing rapidly and the pregnant hungry all the time thing has FINALLY kicked in. I had lunch at Smashburger today and not only wolfed down my burger but ate most of Kati's fries as well.... I don't even like fries! I'm also finally big enough that strangers notice and I am getting all kinds of favors like cuts in line and extra fudge on my sundae. SCORE!

Overall, I am feeling great. I am getting plenty of rest and relaxation and I feel it is having an incredible effect on me and the baby. My main struggle right now is learning how to do some maneuvering! It is harder to climb in and out of bed (I need a stool!), tying my shoes is becoming a little more difficult and my yoga pants and Jason's comfy t-shirts have become my new best friend! My tiny belly button is still hanging on and I wonder if it will ever pop out!

I wake up every morning so grateful and cannot believe this is happening to us. This tiny human growing inside of me is ours.
